Prior to conformal coating, the connectors on a PCB used to be covered by peelable mask and Kapton tape. By the help of these covers/caps we supplied, significant cost reduction was achieved.

Since there were only connectors on the CPB, we did not see any need for ESD material.

Also, due to the curing process we had to use a heat resistant material.

This application required the adhesion of an aluminum heatsink plate to PCB. Between the PCB and the heatsink, there should not be any electrical conductivity. Since the heat generating components are attached to the heatsink directly, there was no need for thermal conductivity between the heatsink and the PCB either.

The simplest solution implemented was using an acrylic based, cut-to-shape double sided tape where the heat resistivity is 180 deg C short term, and 120 deg C long term.

                

Should there be a requirement for thermal conductivity, we have the thermally conductive epoxy adhesive too.
